The Washington Senators rolled to an easy 6-0 win over the Colorado Rockies at Mile High Stadium today. Leading the way to victory was starter John Burkett, who shackled the Colorado Rockies and held them scoreless on a 3-hitter.

"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Burkett said in his postgame press conference.

Thus far this season Burkett has posted a 16-7 record, started 27 games, struck out 148 batters in 204.1 innings and compiled a 3.61 ERA.
