Pirates, Nabholz Blank Boston
|
Chris Nabholz pitched a strong game at Fenway Park today, blanking the Boston Red Sox 3-0. Nabholz allowed no runs on 3 hits, totaled 8 strikeouts and gave up 3 walks.
Pittsburgh manager Stephen Ginter said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Nabholz.
"Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," Ginter said. "He threw a lot of strikes."
