Spirited fans at Wrigley Field greeted the Chicago Cubs for their clash with the Texas Rangers.

Texas left-hander David West made an effective start against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, leading his team to a 5-1 win. In 7 innings, West surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 6. He allowed 1 run.

It could have been a different outcome for Texas, had it not been for John Elway, the top prospect . Elway contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Texas up, 4-1.
