Diamondbacks Fall Short at Seattle
The Seattle Pilots had to overcome a big game from Arizona right fielder Tony Gwynn to leave Kingdome with a 6-5 victory. Gwynn was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Seattle is in second place in the United League West Division with a record of 71-62.

Mickey Tettleton was the walk-off hero for Seattle. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pilots catcher hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
