Big Day by Everett Ignites Knights Win
|
The Charlotte Knights stopped the Minnesota Twins, 11-6, behind an impressive performance from Carl Everett. The top prospect made life miserable for Minnesota pitching. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 7. The third-place Knights raised their record to 71-65.
Everett in the top of the fourth had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and the Knights leading 6-3, he hit a grand slam.
"We maximized our offense today," said Charlotte skipper Tyler Vuxta. "That makes everyone's life easier."
