Tigers Get One-Run Win at Washington
|
The Detroit Tigers got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Jose DeLeon, but it was good enough for the club to take a 1-0 decision over the Washington Senators. The Tigers raised their record to 62-72.
Tony Graffanino contributed to the Detroit win. The 24-year old second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth. For the game, Graffanino went 1-4 with a double.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Graffanino told the Detroit News.
