Marshall Excels, But Dairy Daddies Win
Crowds lined up early in front of Kernels Ballpark, eagerly awaiting the start of the 1995 Hugg Baseball League season. On the mound was Frank Viola for the visiting Brooklyn Cyclones and Tim Worrell for the hometown Danville Dairy Daddies. In a spirited contest, the Dairy Daddies pulled out the win, defeating the Cyclones by the score of 5-4. Earning player of the game honors was Mike Marshall.

The Dairy Daddies got a big at-bat from catcher Greg O'Halloran. For the game, O'Halloran went 2-4 with 2 doubles. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Danville a 4-3 lead.

"Enjoyed this one," O'Halloran told the Danville News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
