Rockies Hammered by Mondesi, Drop Game 5 to Expos
The Montreal Expos have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Colorado Rockies, winning 13-8 at Mile High Stadium today. Expos left fielder Raul Mondesi was named player of the game after he was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Expos to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Division Series.

Montreal first baseman Mike Marshall helped his team get ahead early. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run.

"We were having a lot more fun that I would have expected for a playoff game," [personname l] told the Montreal Daily.

Game 6 is scheduled for Tuesday at Olympic Stadium in Montreal. The scheduled starters for the game are Curt Schilling for Colorado and Jeff Fassero for Montreal.
