Blue Crabs Bang Out 8-7 Win Versus Hartford
The Hartford Whalers got a superb performance from catcher Brook Fordyce, but the Ocean City Blue Crabs still won the game, 8-7. Fordyce was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Gabe White closed the door for Ocean City, picking up his 1st save of the year. Ocean City is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 1st in 6 games.

Ocean City needed the clutch hitting of Guillermo Velasquez to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blue Crabs on top, 6-4. For the game, Velasquez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It was a solid team effort," said Velasquez after the game.
