Red Wings Prevail, 4-2, Over Jacksonville
|
It was a fun time at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale, where the Jacksonville Suns and Rochester Red Wings tangled.
The Red Wings had to overcome a good performance from Jacksonville pitcher Ricky Bones to claim a 4-2 win at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. Bones went 8 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Rochester reliever Brad Woodall was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Ricky Bones. Chuck Crim locked down his 2nd save.
Damon Mashore was 1 for 3 with a walk for Rochester. In the bottom of the second, with the teams deadlocked, 1-1, Mashore delivered for the Red Wings. His run-scoring ground out put Rochester on top, 2-1.
"We'll savor this win," Mashore told the Rochester Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
With the loss, Jacksonville falls to 2-3.
