The Danville Dairy Daddies knocked off the Hartford Whalers, 8-7, at Wolves Ballpark. Kevin Polcovich was named player of the game for Danville. He hit 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 1 runs. Danville reliever Jay Witasick picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Cory Lidle was collared with the loss. The save was credited to Mike Fyhrie, his 2nd.

Danville took a 8-7 lead on Takahiro Ikeyama's 5th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Ikeyama hit in the top of the ninth, left Hartford pitcher Cory Lidle shaking his head.

"I felt good up there," said Ikeyama. "I saw the ball well."
