Slammers Win in Extras
|
The Southeast Slammers stopped the Columbus Clippers, 3-2, at Mules Ballpark. The Slammers got a big game from Gene Schall, who went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. Scott Sullivan earned his 1st save in 1 tries. With their winning streak at 4, the Slammers have raced to a strong start this season.
Jose R Herrera made it 3-2, Southeast, in the top of the 11th when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Slammers win.
Schall said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
