Salkeld 'Lights Out' in Danville Win
|
The Danville Dairy Daddies got a magnificent performance from pitcher Roger Salkeld, who muffled the Toledo offense en route to a tight 3-1 Dairy Daddies win at Stags Ballpark. The Dairy Daddies, now 6-3, have been on a roll in the early going.
Salkeld tossed 111 pitches over 8 innings to clinch the win for the Dairy Daddies. The right-hander allowed just 5 hits, while racking up 10 strikeouts in the game.
"I just try to put up zeroes," said Salkeld, "and let the rest take care of itself."
