Whalers Win at Milwaukee, 10-6
|
Hartford designated hitter Mo Vaughn was instrumental in his team's 10-6 win over the Milwaukee Otters. Vaughn, who is tied for 8th in the ATL in home runs with 3, went 2-2 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Whalers. With the win, Hartford elevates its record to 8-5.
Hartford needed the clutch hitting of Alex Ochoa to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Whalers on top, 7-5. For the game, Ochoa had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"We've got a great group of guys," Ochoa said, "and we're having fun right now."
