Buffalo laid the wood on Brooklyn at Ballpark of Fremont.
The Buffalo Bisons beat the Brooklyn Cyclones, 16-1, at Ballpark of Fremont. The Bisons got a fine performance from center fielder Manny Martinez, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Shawn Boskie got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 7 innings.
The result might have been different for Buffalo, had it not been for James Mouton. The left fielder produced a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bisons ahead, 3-1. For the game, Mouton had 1 double and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.
