Rockies Slip Past Seattle, 3-2
|
The Colorado Rockies bested the Seattle Pilots by a score of 3-2, with left fielder Juan Gonzalez getting the main credit. On the day, Gonzalez was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Rockies. Colorado, now 10-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.
With no one out in the bottom of the ninth, Glenn Davis stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 18th hit of the season and put Colorado in front, 3-2.
"I like the roll we're on," said Colorado manager JD Morris.
