Whalers Take Nail-Biter Over Cyclones
The Hartford Whalers and Brooklyn Cyclones obliged those fans who came to Wolves Ballpark looking for a good time.

The Hartford Whalers dealt the Brooklyn Cyclones a 7-6 loss at Wolves Ballpark. Eduardo Perez was the star on offense. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The win was Jeff Nelson's in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Mike Sirotka took the loss for Brooklyn.

Kelly Stinnett was involved in some late-game drama. With one out in the bottom of the 11th, Stinnett hit a run-scoring single. It helped Hartford snatch the win.

"We got the victory," said Perez. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The Cyclones fall to 8-9 and continue their wobbly start to the 1995 season.
