Nolte, Suns Get 3-0 Win
|
The Jacksonville Suns got a magnificent effort from pitcher Eric Nolte, who kept Southeast hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Suns win at Field of the Running Rebels. Tony Fossas picked up the save, his 9th. The Suns, now 17-3, have had a terrific start to the season.
Nolte, a native of The United States, was dealing all game. He kept Southeast hitters off-balance, while giving the Suns 8 quality innings. Nolte threw 113 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 7.
"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said Nolte.
