Aspinwall Grounds was the site of a competitive game between the Buffalo Bisons and Brooklyn Cyclones.

The Brooklyn Cyclones got a good effort from starter Steve W Sparks in defeating the Buffalo Bisons at Aspinwall Grounds. The final score was 4-2. In 8 innings, Sparks surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Jim Mecir earned the save for Brooklyn, his 2nd of the year.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Smith. "And not try to do too much."
