Catalanotto Helps Otters Run Win Streak to 3
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Frank Catalanotto, the Milwaukee Otters defeated the Jacksonville Suns, 10-5. Catalanotto was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Otters. Jose Silva, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held the Suns to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 1. The win gives Milwaukee a record of 12-10.
Joe Vitiello put Milwaukee in front, 8-5, when he took Ryan Bowen downtown. His 2-run home run came with two out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 3rd home run of the season.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Vitiello said. "We did a good job of that today."
