Mud Hens Lose, 4-3, at Wolves Ballpark
The Hartford Whalers did just enough to sneak past the Toledo Mud Hens, 4-3, at Wolves Ballpark. Hartford pitcher Rene Arocha earned player of the game honors. The Mud Hens fall to 11-12 and continue their uneasy start to the 1995 season.

John Wehner had a big run-scoring single for the Whalers in the bottom of the first inning. With Hartford leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Chuck Crim and stroked the single to right. It was his 29th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Whalers ahead, 4-0.

"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Toledo manager . "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
