Dairy Daddies Jolt Moonshiners with Late Rally
The Danville Dairy Daddies managed to get by the Asheville Moonshiners, 4-3, at Kernels Ballpark. Danville designated hitter Lee Stevens took player of the game honors. Roger Salkeld was the winning pitcher. Over 8.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. The loss drops Asheville to 11-10.

Stevens had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from Rocky Coppinger, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Dairy Daddies a 4-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Stevens.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Stevens said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
