Blue Crabs Turn Back Slammers, 6-4

Conditions were not ideal but Ocean City and Southeast were able to put their game in the books.
The Ocean City Blue Crabs knocked off the Southeast Slammers, 6-4, at Ravens Ballpark. Curtis Pride, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Ocean City won. The left fielder was 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Woody Williams got the win, improving to 1-4. He worked 7 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Rocky Childress locked down his 1st save.
Pride had a key at-bat for Ocean City early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and gave Ocean City an early 3-0 lead.
"If it's down the middle," said Pride, "you might as well hit it."
The Blue Crabs, with just their 5th win in 23 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
