Buffalo starter Mark Gardner pitched effectively against the Danville Dairy Daddies at Aspinwall Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. The Bisons, now 16-6, have been playing some good baseball.

Buffalo took a 4-2 lead on Kevin McReynolds's 22nd hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which McReynolds hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Danville pitcher Oswaldo Peraza shaking his head.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Buffalo manager .
