Trammell Hits 2 home runs in Clippers Win
The Columbus Clippers downed the Ocean City Blue Crabs, 6-2, at Fire Dogs Ballpark. The Clippers were led by Bubba Trammell, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Jamey Wright, credited with the win, is now 2-3. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 6.1 innings. John Wetteland got the save, the 2nd for him this season.

Chris Pritchett helped out the Columbus cause in the top of the seventh inning with a 2-run home run. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It was a solid team effort," said Pritchett after the game.

The 4th-place Clippers lifted their record to 12-13.
