Swamp Foxes Get One-Run Win at Jacksonville
Savannah starter John Wasdin pitched effectively against the Jacksonville Suns at Field of the Running Rebels. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. The save went to Jay Powell, his 6th this season. Savannah is now 16-9, 2 games up in the Atlantic Southeast.

Savannah relied on the hitting of Masahiro Kawai to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Swamp Foxes on top, 2-0. For the game, Kawai had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
