Beasties Win at Milwaukee, 10-5
|
The Bluff City Beasties topped the Milwaukee Otters, 10-5, in Atlantic action at Stags Ballpark. The player of the game was Bluff City pitcher and Bemidji, Minnesota native Bryan Hickerson. Hickerson, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. Brad Clontz was credited with the save for Bluff City, his 7th of the season.
Paul Sorrento was 1 for 5 with a home run for Bluff City. In the top of the second, with the teams deadlocked, 0-0, Sorrento delivered for the Beasties. His solo home run put Bluff City on top, 1-0.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Bluff City manager .
The Beasties bumped their record to 16-12 with this latest triumph.
