Big Day by McKeel Sparks Beasties Win
The Bluff City Beasties defeated the Milwaukee Otters, 13-6, at Stags Ballpark. Bluff City catcher Walt McKeel was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The Beasties, now 17-12, know that wins in April count the same as wins in September.

McKeel had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the fifth, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Beasties went on to win.

"We maximized our offense today," said Bluff City skipper . "That makes everyone's life easier."
