Cyclones Continue Skid Thanks to Timmons, Suns
|
Jacksonville right fielder Ozzie Timmons made his presence felt in the 11-8 Suns triumph over the Brooklyn Cyclones. Timmons went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The current losing streak for Brooklyn has reached 25 games.
Doug Mirabelli drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances for Jacksonville. The 26-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 8-8 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jose Cabrera. It was his 12th walk of the season.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Timmons told the Jacksonville News.
