Casey Leads Charge, Jacksonville Blasts Cyclones
|
The 1997 season is getting ugly for Brooklyn.
The Jacksonville Suns downed the Brooklyn Cyclones, 19-1, at Field of the Running Rebels. Sean Casey led the way, going 3-for-5 for Jacksonville. The Suns, now 15-14, know that wins in April count the same as wins in September.
Greg Blosser could have done more damage. In the top of the ninth, with Brooklyn trailing 19-0, Brooklyn had the bases loaded. That's when Blosser hit into a double play. But it was not enough. Jacksonville would go on to win the game.
