Blue Crabs Come Up Short at Danville
|
The Danville Dairy Daddies managed to get by the Ocean City Blue Crabs, 5-4, at Kernels Ballpark. Danville catcher Greg O'Halloran took player of the game honors. Roger Salkeld got credit for the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings. Danville has an impressive 19-8 record.
Danville grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the sixth, when O'Halloran hit a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Dairy Daddies out in front, 5-2.
"If we keep winning the close games," O'Halloran said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
