Moonshiners Get Road Win, 4-1
|
The Asheville Moonshiners got a rain-soaked win over the Savannah Swamp Foxes at Paradise Grounds.
Asheville rode a fine outing from starter Ken Cloude to victory over the Savannah Swamp Foxes at Paradise Grounds. The final score was 4-1. Mike Draper earned the save for Asheville, his 6th.
With two out in the top of the eighth, Yamil Benitez put Asheville in front, 4-1, with a 2-run home run. The Moonshiners went on to win the ballgame.
"I like what I saw today," said Asheville manager , "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
The Moonshiners, now 16-13, know that wins in April count the same as wins in September.
