Gomez Slugs Expos to 8-4 Win
The Montreal Expos beat the Washington Senators, 8-4, at Olympic Stadium. The Expos got a fine performance from third baseman Leo Gomez, who captured player of the game honors. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Losses have been few and far between for the Senators, who are now 10-4.

Montreal grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the sixth, when Gomez, who is tied for 9th in the UL in runs scored with 11, hit a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Expos out in front, 5-4.

"I had some good swings out there," said Gomez.
