Otters Sneak Past Dairy Daddies, 5-4
|
The Milwaukee Otters defeated the Danville Dairy Daddies, 5-4, at Kernels Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Milwaukee was shortstop Robby Thompson. He was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner was Mark Clear in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Aaron Small took the loss. The save was Desi Relaford's, his 1st.
With the game tied, 3-3, in the top of the ninth, Thompson had a key at-bat for Milwaukee. With a runner on 1st, Thompson, who is tied for 5th in the ATL with a .385 batting average, hit a run-scoring double off Aaron Small, making the score 4-3, Otters.
"Both teams played hard," said Milwaukee manager .
With the win, Milwaukee goes to 17-15, while the Dairy Daddies fall to 14-18.
