McReynolds Helps Bisons Run Win Streak to 7
|
Buffalo beat Columbus at Mules Ballpark, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Kevin McReynolds, who earned player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Dennis Springer picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-1. He struck out 6 in 5.2 innings. Tim Fortugno earned the save for Buffalo, his 12th.
McReynolds came through with some timely hitting for Buffalo. With the score 0-0 in the top of the third and no one down, McReynolds hit a 1-1 fastball for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season made it 3-0, Buffalo.
