Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Rich Aurilia, the Buffalo Bisons defeated the Columbus Clippers, 8-3. Aurilia went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Bisons. The slumping Clippers have dropped 7 in a row.

Aurilia had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-0 fastball from Paul Byrd, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Bisons a 7-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Aurilia.

"We bring energy to every game," said losing manager . "But it's got to translate into wins."
