Beasties Walk It Off for 18th Win of Season
The Bluff City Beasties got a stellar performance from pitcher Steve W Sparks, who handcuffed the Savannah offense en route to a 3-2 win at Ravens Ballpark. Sparks, now 3-3, was the winner. In 10 innings, he gave up 11 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. Bluff City has now won 3 in a row.

The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the tenth inning, when the Beasties were trailing 2-1. Jeff Manto delivered a two-out 2-run single for Bluff City, catapulting his team into the lead.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Sparks said.
