Swamp Foxes Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Bluff City
|
Tony Longmire helped his team muscle past the Bluff City Beasties, 6-2. In the game, the Savannah designated hitter was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. The Swamp Foxes bumped their record to 19-12 with this latest triumph.
The Swamp Foxes got an important contribution from left fielder Jacob Cruz, who in the top of the seventh hit a 0-1 sinker into right for a run-scoring double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Swamp Foxes ahead, 3-2.
"We'll savor this win," Cruz told the Savannah Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
