Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Beasties
The Bluff City Beasties eked out a 2-1 win versus the Savannah Swamp Foxes at Ravens Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Mike J Grace, who captured player of the game honors. Bluff City reliever Joe Hudson was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Dave Fleming. Bluff City now owns a record of 19-13.

The Beasties got a lift from catcher Walt McKeel who had a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth inning off Dave Fleming. It was his 34th hit of the season and put Bluff City in front, 2-1.

"The old adage is true," said Grace. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
