Jacksonville center fielder Damon Buford had a good game, even if his team did not. The Suns dropped a 6-5 decision to Ocean City at Fire Dogs Ballpark. Buford was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. Ocean City is now riding a 4-game win streak.

Atlanta, Georgia-born Jeff Abbott came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Blue Crabs trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run double to right-center to put Ocean City on top.

"We take it day by day here," said Abbott, "and today was a good one for us."
