Moonshiners Fall Short, 5-4, at Ocean City
|
The Ocean City Blue Crabs handed the Asheville Moonshiners a loss at Fire Dogs Ballpark. The final score was 5-4. Scott Leius was named player of the game for Ocean City. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Chad Ogea, credited with the win, is now 2-3. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits in 8 innings. Rafael Carmona earned the save, his 1st.
Making an impact for the home team was Jeff Abbott. In the bottom of the seventh, the 24-year old center fielder had a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, Blue Crabs.

Ocean City is now 17-16. Asheville is 18-15.
