Blue Crabs Win at Savannah, 11-5
Spirited fans at Paradise Grounds greeted the Savannah Swamp Foxes for their clash with the Ocean City Blue Crabs.

The Ocean City Blue Crabs stopped the Savannah Swamp Foxes, 11-5, at Paradise Grounds. The Blue Crabs got a big game from Tony Longmire, who was 4 for 4 with 3 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Ocean City reliever Carlos Valdez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rick Helling was saddled with the loss.

Ocean City first baseman Guillermo Velasquez went deep in the top of the fifth. His 2-run home run off Savannah pitcher Rick Helling put the Blue Crabs in front, 6-3. It was his 7th home run of the season.

"We maximized our offense today," said Ocean City skipper . "That makes everyone's life easier."

Even with the win, the Blue Crabs have a dismal 9-26 record.
