Multi-HR Game for Manto in 21-7 Win
|
Spirited fans at Ballpark of Fremont greeted the Brooklyn Cyclones for their clash with the Bluff City Beasties.
A 5-RBI performance from the 32-year old second baseman Jeff Manto helped the Bluff City Beasties beat the Brooklyn Cyclones, 21-7. Dan Serafini, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings.
Manto came through with some timely hitting for Bluff City. With the score 2-1 in the top of the third and no one down, Manto hit a 2-2 slider for a grand slam home run. His 6th home run of the season made it 5-2, Bluff City.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Manto said.
Bluff City has now won 3 straight, while the Cyclones have lost 3 in a row.
