Moonshiners Double Up Toledo, 4-2
|
The Asheville Moonshiners extended their winning streak at Stags Ballpark.
Asheville starter Willie Banks had a strong outing against the Toledo Mud Hens at Stags Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Mike Draper was credited with the save for Asheville, his 8th of the season.
It could have been a different outcome for Asheville, had it not been for Rob Butler, the 25-year old center fielder . Butler contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Asheville up, 2-1.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Banks.
Asheville has now reeled off 12 straight wins.
