The Rochester Red Wings topped the Columbus Clippers by the score of 7-1, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Terrell Lowery. Lowery went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times for the Red Wings. Rochester reliever Brad Woodall picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Kirk McCaskill took the loss. Rochester is now 15-19, Columbus 14-20.
The Red Wings picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Lowery told a Rochester Daily News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
