Red Wings Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Rochester Red Wings did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Clippers at Ballpark of Ft. Lauderdale. Nobody did more than pitcher Tom Urbani, who captured player of the game honors. The Red Wings improve their record to 16-19 with the win over Columbus.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Jacob Brumfield had a chance to end it. Columbus pitcher Marc Wilkins had other ideas. But with one out, Brumfield hit a walk-off run-scoring single. The Red Wings had the win.
"This joint was rocking," said Urbani.
