Newfield goes 3-for-5, Dairy Daddies Move to 23-14
Marc Newfield led Danville to a triumph over Brooklyn. The final score was 10-6. The left fielder went 3 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 3 runs and added 6 RBI. Danville reliever Andrew Lorraine picked up the win to move to 2-0. Rick Aguilera suffered the loss. The Dairy Daddies have an impressive 23-14 record.

With Danville leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Newfield hit a fastball from Rick Aguilera for a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Dairy Daddies ahead, 5-1.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Newfield.
