Today was Salomon Torres's turn in the rotation for the Asheville Moonshiners and he made the most of it, shutting out the Savannah Swamp Foxes on 6 hits.

The 23-year-old right-hander led the Moonshiners to an easy 8-0 victory, allowing 3 walks and tallying 7 strikeouts.

"I hope we miss him next time," Savannah manager said. "Torres certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
