Ochoa Cracks 5 Hits
|
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Alex Ochoa today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Ravens Ballpark and paced the Whalers to a 8-3 win over the Bluff City Beasties.
After his dynamite batting performance, the Hartford right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."
His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Alex Ochoa flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far this year in 37 games Ochoa is hitting .361 with 11 home runs, 41 RBIs and 48 runs scored.
