Blue Crabs Dispose of Dairy Daddies, 10-3
|
The Ocean City Blue Crabs beat the Danville Dairy Daddies, 10-3, at Fire Dogs Ballpark. The Blue Crabs got a fine performance from catcher Einar Diaz, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Blue Crabs, now 21-18, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
In the bottom of the seventh inning of a 3-3 tie, Ocean City designated hitter Jeff Abbott hit a run-scoring single. It broke the deadlock and put Ocean City on top, 4-3.
"I felt good up there," said Diaz. "I saw the ball well."
